My thesis from UCSC. Envisioning a future where art and craft are not limited to a certain time or space, but show up in farmers markets and faires, reintroducing themselves into the community through mobility and interaction. Front loading cargo bike frame made from salvage steel and junk bike frames, table made from laser cut and CNC routed plywood and CNC plasma cut steel.

Shoes made from waste and recycled material, salvaged from the garbage and thrift stores to be reborn into rugged, capable footwear.

Military drab adorns this bag, with military surplus machine gun straps providing mounting points for pens, pencils, and paintbrushes. The bag itself is made from up-cycled civilian pants, whose earthy and desaturated colors turn to military aesthetics, a more subtle reflection of America's military induction culture. In war objects are made to kill, but in disaster objects are needed to survive. Durable bags and carrying cases will be necessary as we face seemingly imminent environmental disaster, to carry on creating where there has only been destruction. 

A specimen from when humankind and our waste converge, a future evolution where the garbage no longer surrounds us but becomes intertwined with our being.

Functional bike trailer/house made of recycled and scavenged materials. Created as a future for homes and movement, living in a quieter apocalypse. We named her "Chebette."

Graphic shirts painted, sewn, and printed on, or reconstructed from old shirts.  

The old Milwaukee drill box provides protection. In a time where "workwear" has created garments focused more on a certain aesthetic repetition than an interest in producing pieces that provide utility, the only way to really get durable items is to turn back to the actual tool brands. The drill box was gutted and reinforced with metal and foam, and sealed with leather to protect anything placed inside.
